Guava Lotus Travel Crib

We ended up buying a guava lotus travel crib because they sit on the floor and there is no weight limit. Spendy but we knew we’d get a bunch of use out of it (interstate move including stays with family) and figured we could either hand it down or sell it once we were done. There might be other brands that have a higher limit but we had a time crunch.

We got one of these used on Facebook marketplace. When she outgrew THAT, we got a hiccapop inflatable bed that she actually does great with despite still sleeping in a crib at home.

We actually had to make a quick decision on this yesterday because we realized our Guava travel crib had mold just before bedtime, and my wife and I went to Walmart to get a pack 'n' play, only to realize our lovely 90-plus percentile toddler is too big for that or the Guava. We have a Slumberpod that has worked well for traveling in the past, so we bought a Graco toddler mattress with bedding and put the Slumberpod over that. We were worried about her busting out of the Slumberpod because she could easily lift up the sides, but, luckily for us, she slept on the mattress the entire night! It helped that we had already transitioned to a toddler bed at home, and she hasn't seemed super interested in getting out of the bed herself. EDIT: I would struggle with putting her into a real bed that was elevated unless there's some protection for her falling off the bed because she likes to move around a lot in her sleep. Case in point: She was halfway off the mattress this morning when I saw her sleeping this morning. Such a cutie!

We've used the guava travel crib every day/night for over a year now. We started using it when baby started rolling. I love it! I love that it sits on the floor. It doesn't move around as much as the Graco pack n plays that we've used at my sister's house. The sides are mesh all the way around so I've never been worried about baby being able to breathe. No weight limit is also really nice. We went with a travel crib purely because we didn't have room for a full size crib. I've been very happy with it. Baby is still very comfortable with more than enough room at 20 months olds.

No weight limit was great because we used it until almost 3 (she was in a sleep sack the. so would’ve been hard to climb out). And I definitely spent some nights laying on the ground next to her thanks for the zipper. We’ve also flown with it and used it as a carry on and checked bag.

We have the guava lotus travel crib, which is bigger than a bassinet (slightly smaller than most pack n plays I believe)—but the main perk is that it folds up into a carry on size backpack so you wouldn’t have to worry about checking it and the airline losing it. It’s rated for overnight sleep for newborns and up. I believe they make a bassinet attachment too if you want it to be elevated.

We got the 4mom brand travel crib and also the guava , think both are great depending on what you’re looking for We got the 4mom as a gift (part of the registry, SIL recommended this brand) and it’s not on the floor and elevated a little bit We bought the guava months later because of details like unzipping a part of the crib being possible to get out but ended up not using that feature Both travel well

+1 for the Guava. That is what we are currently using as our primary sleep space.

For my secondborn we went from the halo bassinet to a mini crib that she tried to jump from at 9 months... To the Guava Lotus Travel Crib. If you're nursing it's nice because the side zips down & you can just feed / soothe your baby as needed & zip it right back up when your done. My back never hurt using it as it was convenient. Being at floor level it has no weight restrictions & the only restriction is when your child outgrows it length wise. It's wonderful because it packs up small & if you need to travel you can bring it as a carry on. Essentially your baby can have their bed anywhere in the world you go. About to have baby #3 and I'm buying a second Guava Lotus Travel Crib in the next month. I'll be skipping the mini crib all together. My secondborn is 19 months and still sleeps in hers every night.

Seconding the Guava Lotus travel crib. Our kid slept in it for basically 6 months as we moved abroad and it was her little happy place at three different long-stay hotels, a few weekend getaways, and then our new apartment until she moved to a toddler bed. Also, it makes an awesome daytime kids fort with a blanket on top!

The guava has a side door that lets you Kay down next to baby and it’s super, super handy. If the mattress was raised, you couldn’t do that.
