And the obligatory counterpoint…I absolutely *hate* my elvie wearables and am so glad they were gifted and I didn’t spend the money on them. I get barely a fourth of the output as I do with my pumpables and regular flanges

Do you want a portable or a wearable? I love my wearable Elvie, but it wasn’t cheap. Thank you to my employer for contributing to my HSA! https://www.karingforpostpartum.com/blog/portable-pump-comparison https://www.karingforpostpartum.com/blog/wearable-pump-comparison

Fellow undersupplier here 👋 Thanks for this post! I am 7wpp and I recently switched out my Mandela Symphony MOTN pumps with my Elvie wearable and was worried about tanking my supply. This reassures me 😊 also is momcozy m5 better than other wearables? I didn't do much research before getting my Elvie. Initially, I got abysmal output with it so I quit using it but after looking at some tips and tricks on TikTok I now get slightly less output(2 ounces) than my Madela symphony (2.5 ounces).

I’m 5 weeks pp and I use my Elvie wearables for all my sessions besides 1 daily (spectra s1). My Elvies get the same output as long as I’m consistently switching out the valves. Getting the right size flange was important too. I switched from majority spectra to majority Elvie at around 3 weeks and I’m still seeing my supply go up. It’s worth it to me, even if the spectra is supposedly better, because I can hold my baby or get things done while I’m pumping. Even though the spectra is technically mobile, it’s almost impossible to hold your baby with the huge flanges sticking out. It doesn’t feel like I’m sacrificing bonding time by pumping with my wearables. I got the motors used for around $100 then bought the parts on Amazon. Ended up being $200 total which helped with the ridiculous price tag.

I love my m5! I get about 5 ounces with it! I just got the momcozy v1 pro to try too although it has tubes it looks more portable than the spectra.

12 weeks PP and Elvie wearables are incredible. I will shout from the rooftops. I don’t ever use my Spectra (blue) anymore.

Love my Elvie for at work and in the car but I wish it held more!! It starts turning off at 4.5 oz.

Spectra! I also tried a wearable elvie and I HATED it. The spectra is straightforward and reliable and the parts are relatively easy to clean.
