> heyparent ranks baby gear by analyzing thousands of Reddit discussions.
> For each product we count how many unique parents recommend it versus
> complain about it, score the sentiment, and update rankings weekly.

## Methodology

- Source: public Reddit comments from parenting subreddits (r/babywearing,
  r/BabyBumps, r/NewParents, and others).
- Each ranking counts unique parents, not raw comments — one parent
  mentioning a product ten times counts once.
- Products need at least 10 mentions to be ranked.
- Scores are confidence-weighted: products with few mentions are pulled
  toward the category average until they accumulate more evidence.
- Every product page lists the actual Reddit comments behind its ranking,
  with sentiment labels (recommends / mixed / complains).
